The stress model which has been around since the 1950’s led us to conclude that stress was bad for us; we should try and avoid it as much as possible and if that was not possible then we should manage it better!  This workshop will discuss the following topics: the biological response to coping with a challenging event/ stress; the role of the brain in helplessness, habits and negativity bias; resilience (what it is and it is not); growth versus fixed mindset and practical resilience strategies to implement to enhance our resilience.
