Although our brains continue to develop over our life time, a child's brain develops most rapidly in the first few years. As your child's brain develops, changes may be seen in their behaviour, motor skills and sleep, to name but a few. When we understand how our child's brain develops, we are able to recognise when we have unrealistic expectations of what they are capable of and, on the flip side, what our child is capable of doing.
