(Adolescence: ages 12+)
Adolescence is a time of personal growth and discovery. It is also a time when the brain reorganises itself and this can bring with it many challenges for the adults working with adolescents. During this developmental phase it is important to focus on and developing core life skills such as planning, focus, self control and flexibility. This workshop will debunk some of the myths around adolescence (e.g. they are just lazy) and will discuss practical tips and strategies to help professionals navigate this exciting period and negotiate desired behaviour boundaries.
