Breastfeeding, Workshops and Consultations.

I was honoured in 2016 to be a recipient of an Order of Australian Medal for my work in nursing, particularly in the area of lactation. I was one of the first Australian lactation consultants to be registered internationally and am a founding member of the NSW and WA professional lactation organisations.

For the past 19 years, I have been privileged to work with families and communities throughout Western Australia in my role as Coordinator: Education for Ngala. I was instrumental in developing the rural and remote education service in response to the needs of families and communities.  I have had extensive experience in facilitating workshops for parents and professionals ranging from antenatal classes on parenting through to helping families help their children transition to school.  My passion is working with parents & professionals both individually and in group settings. I work from where my clients are at, and look forward to having the honour of working with you.

Psychologist, Workshops and Consultations.

I have worked in the resources industry, psychological private practice and, most recently, the not for profit sector, where I was employed as a Practice Consultant Educator at Ngala.  This involved facilitations workshops and providing information in best practice to professionals, including Early Childhood Educators, Teachers and Child Health Nurses.

I have a keen interest and experience in writing articles for different media mediums, having led teams of multi-disciplinary professionals to develop an array of educational materials, including DVD's. These educational tools have been focussed around early brain development and sleep in the early years.  Early brain development and how this impacts on children's behaviour and sleep is my passion. I am experienced in translating theoretical concepts into practical strategies and tips for both parents and professionals working with children.

Working with my clients, I use their experiences and wisdom, taking delight in empowering them to be flexible, collaborative and manage the challenges of the important work they do.
